MOROCCO REPLICA
Tray
This handcrafted bronze tray, cast and finished in Germany, originates from a singular gesture: the desire to preserve a fleeting moment of craftsmanship. Inspired by the image of a Moroccan stonemason shaping a vessel entirely by hand, Justus Knut Schomann chose to recast that original form literally and metaphorically into bronze, granting it permanence.
The object carries the marks of its making, a tactile record of both the artisan’s hand and the transformation of material. Each patinated finish is unique, the surface evolving into subtle variations that heighten its individuality. In its quiet presence, the piece becomes more than a functional tray; it is a container of memory. Like a time capsule, it speaks to the human impulse to hold onto moments whether a gesture of craft, a place, or the intangible feeling of a journey well taken.
